Maintenance Technician

The position requires candidates to be responsible for a combination of hands-on maintenance and customer service, while following maintenance and operational compliance.

Principal Job Duties include but not limited to:

• Walk garage(s) daily to note and correct any maintenance problems.
• Report any observed, or suspected violations of company permit parking policy, safety conditions relating to gate equipment or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager in a timely manner.
• Check conditions of safety items, such as gate arms to ensure clearance bars are secure.
• Check ticket spitters and gates daily for proper operations, ticket supply, accuracy of time on clock and general appearance.
• Process and carry out maintenance repairs to entrance or exit gates in areas designated by the Facility Manager using tools and other light duty equipment.
• Report all completed work performed to Facility Manager daily to ensure compliance.
• Assist with keeping an accurate inventory of supplies, equipment, and data.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and arrive and remain complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A background in or relating to maintenance and or customer service preferred.
• High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule.

Experience:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to speak English.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
• Able to promote and foster a good customer service and client relationships.

Skills:

• Previous maintenance experience a plus
• Experience with any Flash Parking equipment a plus.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Must be able to use a computer and create spreadsheets
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities and assignments as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; bend; stoop; squat; lift; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel in order to handle and repair gate equipment.
• Associate is frequently required to reach and/or sign (communicate) with hands and arms.
• The associate is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• Associate works in and around potentially dangerous traffic situations, and to be safety conscious at all times.
• Associate is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including cold, snow, ice and/or extreme heat.
• Associate is regularly exposed to high levels of noise and/or fumes from vehicles.
• Associate on occasion must lift/move up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
