Machine Operator - Induction

Modern Industries is hiring Induction Operators for second and third shifts!
Previous machine operation experience is preferred but not required.
Entry-level machine operators and or general laborers will be qualified for this position.
 

Position Details: 
Operate electronic induction machine to heat treat metal parts according to specifications. Position may require setup of induction machines. 
The successful candidate will run induction machines consistently and error-free to meet quality standards.
Induction Heat Treating requires each part to be hardened separately and precisely. Will load and unload the machine, maintain efficiencies and quality without losing focus. 

Job Duties:

• Read work order to determine size and grade of workpiece to be processed. 
• Determine frequency of current, time cycle and induction hardening coil to be used for each job,
• Position and fasten induction coil and fixture on machine. Adjust controls to set frequency of current and automatic timer.
• Position and fasten part in fixture and start machine to heat treat sample part. 
• Presses button on control panel to start electric current flowing through induction coil for prescribed time.
• Inspect and verify finished product is in conformance with specification on blueprint 

Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong Mechanical aptitude and ability to effectively use hand tools
• Precision, able to use fine measuring devices to ensure proper alignment and tight tolerances.
• Attention to detail and focus on quality
• Desire to learn and advance, actively engage in training activities
• Willingness and ability to withstand shop and outdoor conditions (hot/cold, dirty)
• Flexibility: able to switch activities as needs arise

Preferred Experience (Not Required):
* (2) years experience in a heat-treating environment as an Induction-Machine Operator or equivalent machine operation experience in metals-based manufacturing.
• Capable of reading blueprints and identifying critical dimensions


2nd Shift Openings:
**3:00pm-11:30PM -- Monday to Friday
or
**2:00pm-10:30PM -- Monday to Friday

3rd Shift Openings:
**11:00pm-7:30am -- Monday to Friday
or
**10:00pm-6:30am -- Monday to Friday

Structured Training for the first 60 days or until the manager signs off on training as complete.
