Lumber Yard Associate

Classification: Full Time – Hourly
Pay Range: $18
Location: Redwood City
Reports To: Yard Supervisor

Responsibilities:
 

• Primarily to prepare and perform door, window, and cabinetry deliveries in a safe and secure manner in a timely fashion.
• Engage and build professional relationships, providing excellent customer service.
• Proactively assist customers with loading and unloading of materials purchased.
• Maintain yard, product and work areas in a neat, clean and safe manner.
• Maintain fundamental product knowledge & location throughout the yard.
• Ensure products and materials are well stocked of inventory at all times.
• Keeps management aware of any delays or discrepancies.
• Reviews materials loaded against invoice or requisition; completes and routes paperwork appropriately.

• Spanish speaking is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret orders and invoices
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
• Experience working in a team atmosphere.
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds consistently
• Must take and pass drug test and consent to a background check
• Knowledge of dimension lumber and panel products and other building materials is a plus
• Experience operating radial arm saw, cut-off saw, chain saw and forklift is a plus.
• Experience previously working in a lumberyard or warehouse is a plus.
