Title:  Qualified Mental Health Professional
Assignment: Licensed QMHP
Work Type: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR 1099 (FULL TIME 40 hours a week)

Our client is seeking a Licensed Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in Fairfax, Virginia to deliver direct-care services to patients and their families utilizing a community-based treatment modality.

Please Note: Though this assignment may allow for SOME remote work, the core function of this assignment is out in the community. This assignment may be required to travel to several locations locally in order to meet the needs of community members seeking services.

CLIENT'S SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT

  • Provides services on an intensive basis utilizing short-term, solution focused treatment strategies to clients and families
  • Facilitates care coordination with other service providers to enlist existing supports in determining and meeting service objectives and to identify additional resources and supports
  • Prepares written service plans and treatment update summaries, incorporating input from clients, other service providers, wraparound team members to identify problem areas and needs, service objectives, and intervention strategies
  • Provides direct clinical services to clients, including individual and family interventions
  • Responds to crisis situations with twenty-four hour a day availability

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field (preferred)
  • Must be licensed in Virginia as a QMHP (required)
  • Previous experience working in a community based setting
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of basic interviewing and assessment skills
  • Knowledge and skills in the development and implementation of service plans
  • Must complete local, state and federal background checks as required by client and drug screening
  • Must have reliable transportation
