Our State of the Art Child Development Center is seeking Lead Teachers for a wonderful teaching experience involving all levels of child development. Must have the ability to work with total staff to promote the physical, social, cognitive, and emotional well-being of the children we serve through holistic daily programs designed to enhance healthy age-appropriate development. Must have knowledge of regulations governed by NC Division of Child Development, and Mecklenburg County Health Department.

Physical Requirement: Will frequently perform a wide variety of physical tasks such as standing, walking, running, stooping, bending, and lifting of children, which requires strength, coordination, endurance, and agility. The employee must be agile enough to control and rapidly extricate him/herself and children from buildings in case of an emergency. Persons with any medical problems such as joint problems, obesity, arthritis or cardiopulmonary conditions, where it would be unwise or not possible to engage in moderate physical exertion should not be considered.
A valid driver’s license in the state of your residence, at least 3 years of driving with a driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required. Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the Environmental Rating Scales, NC Foundations, and the DCDEE childcare requirements. Familiarity with Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold preferred. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test and an extensive background check is required.
