Lead Engineer – OSIsoft PI experience

Job Responsibilities

• Lead Engineer on site with supervisory responsibility for other Engineers
• Demonstrates excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to solving difficult problems – forms a competent part of the Managed Services Agreement Team for client operational support
• Significant experience with drafting Validation Documentation lifecycle – Installation/Operational Qualification and Design Spec creation and execution across multiple successful projects
• Provides necessary engineering support in working with teams at client sites and/or remotely from global offices to deliver projects on time, and within scope based on agreements with Project Manager and Client; creates/advises on project schedules and advises Project Managers/Sales Teams on task durations/Technical Architecture
• Leads and coordinates work with vendors and contractors during project conception and implementation stages
• Is responsible for delivering results and timelines for the team and is competent to solve project issues within the scope of the project
• Reports directly to the appropriate Regional Manager/Project Manager weekly on the progress of the project and is responsible for delivering results and timelines for the team
• Supports business in smaller scale Technical Sales Initiatives and business program trips for single sites
• Timely completion of weekly timesheet entry for self and team
• Works independently with little direct supervision

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 - 4 years experience supporting PI projects and systems
• Has developed high competence understanding of OSI API OPCDA, EMDVB, PI-PI, RDBMS, EVT, UFL interfaces and has successfully implemented within multiple client projects and client sites
• Has written Work Instructions for installation, configuration, troubleshooting of interfaces in line with experience & OSI recommendations
• Demonstrates;
  • Excellent understanding of Windows OS, Networking & System Security Fundamentals as well as expert knowledge of how PI interfaces with SCADA, PLC, OPC, Continuous/Batch Historians and DCS-based control systems
  • Excellent understanding of PI Architecture Level 200 Accreditation certified
  • Expert knowledge of how SQL Databases are setup & administered with respect to PI systems
  • Superior understanding for operation principles of RtReports and has created templates for multiple clients
• Capable of mentoring/training less experienced Engineering Staff and has written Work Instructions for troubleshooting tasks
• Maintains a Full Clean Driving License
• Willing to travel domestically & internationally on a short term basis depending on project availability
• Must have experience in installing, configuring and extracting data from OSIsoft Pi
