POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Accountant will provide support to the corporate finance department, and is responsible for assisting Accounting Manager to making financial statement and book closing. This position requires general accounting knowledge to assist the Accounting Manager including: general ledger preparation including bookkeeping, assist for closing adjustment and year-end audit preparation.
This position reports to the Accounting Manager or Head of Corporate Finance team. This position is located in Irvine, California, and the ideal candidate will be within commutable distance to the Irvine office location. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm, with a 1-hour lunchbreak.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Obtain and maintain a general understanding of the financial statement and general ledger structure;
? Assist an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close on a consolidated basis, including assist for year-end audits;
? Confirm and report internal transactions;
? Assist the payment process and input the finance/office related invoices;
? Records and validates foreign exchange transactions;
? Performs other accounting and finance duties as assigned by Accounting Manager and Head of Corporate Finance;
? Works with non-U.S. based parent company, subsidiaries and other affiliated companies;
? Collaborates with the other team members to support overall department goals and objectives;
? Respond to requests for more detail from customers and vendors;
? Close out project accounts upon project completion;
? Estimate cost to accrue when projects are sold and analyze project margins;
? Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required; and
? All other duties and special projects, as requested by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
? Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field;
? Minimum of 5-years of experience in the area of financial reporting or the equivalent;
? Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook;
? Experience using SAP, preferred:
? Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements, preferred;
? Previous experience working in a multinational company, preferred;
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly;
? Strong, self-motivated team player; and
? Comfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic, environment.
? Bilingual in Korean and English, preferred.
