Are you ready to join the resistance? Do you want your design to directly impact local, statewide and even national elections?
Red Horse Strategies is a Brooklyn-based, progressive political consulting and communications firm. We are seeking a full-time, entry-level Junior Designer with 0-2 years of experience who is a detail oriented, highly creative person.
The Junior Designer will assist the Art Director in designing digital and print graphics. You must be able to originate concepts and juggle many projects. You should be knowledgeable in motion graphics and work fluently in the Adobe Creative Suite.
The scene is both calm and hectic – from thoughtful and collaborative planning of the visual components of a campaign to periods of highly intensive work preceding an election. The busy season includes regular late nights and weekends. However, this is balanced with the off-season, with a lighter workload and the option to work from home.
As Junior Designer, you will:
• Design content for digital marketing, social media and animated banners
• Assist the Art Director in creating direct mail, logos, and posters
• Modify template-based sites with CSS, and create new sites.
• Assist with photo editing

About you:
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Know all the tricks of InDesign
• Expert in AfterEffects
• Fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Handle strong critique
• Be a great multitasker
• Very detail oriented
• Have a Bachelors or higher in a digital design or graphic design field
