Janitorial Cleaner

Jobholder is responsible for performing housekeeping tasks listed herein and/or otherwise assigned by the immediate supervisor.  Jobholder shall act in accordance with all rules and follow all safety procedures.

Essential Duties:  Includes, but not limited to the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Reports to work at designated time.
• Checks with immediate supervisor to receive any special instructions and/or precautions related to assigned area.
• Some of the normal functions of the Housekeeper are to empty trash cans, dust high and low, spot cleaning carpet, spot mop and/or mop hard surfaces, vacuum carpet, clean glass and mirrors, and clean and stock restrooms.
• Report to supervisor at the end of shift.

• Language Ability:  Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Must be able to effectively present information to supervisors.
• Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, and diagram form.

Certifications:  The only certifications for this position are any that is required by the facility where the work is performed.  Any needed will be trained and certified at no cost to you.
