Description:

Are you an ITSM Configuration Management Lead looking for a
position within a company that is thriving even in these
difficult times? If so, my local client is looking for you to
join their team! My client is an American Fortune 500 company and
is one of the largest employers in NE Ohio.

In this role you will:

* Provide subject matter expertise and hands-on delivery support
to establish Configuration Management core capabilities and
provide ongoing enhancement of the Configuration Management
Database (CMDB) to include Configuration Item (CI) Discovery,
Discovery Integration, and Service Mapping.
* Provide an understanding of the requirements and objectives of
ITIL and ITSM best practices and advises CI Owners in the
execution of Configuration Management process activities required
to enable effective IT Operations across the organization.
* Ensure end-to-end delivery of Configuration Management services
and is responsible for developing and maintaining a complete,
accurate, and compliant CMDB while continuously improving
processes and standards.
* Engage with strategic projects to ensure Configuration
Management can deliver required Configuration Management System
(CMS) functionality within project timeframes.
* Facilitate communication and engage business and IT management
to encourage configuration management efforts and value
proposition.
* Develop and update the CI Discovery and Service Mapping
strategic roadmap.
* Provide and approve all requirements, use cases, user stories,
etc. in support of new or improving functionality of the CMS.
* Identify Service Improvement opportunities.
* Compile and recommend wants/needs for the annual budgeting
process.
* Determine staffing and skills requirements.
Position Requirements:

* Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
* 8+ years IT experience.
* 3+ years of experience with Configuration Management.
* Experience with enterprise ITSM/CMDB platforms and Discovery
technologies required.
* Experience implementing and supporting a Configuration
Management Database (CMDB).
* Deep knowledge of ITIL and/or IT Service Management concepts
and principles.
* ITIL v3/v4 Foundations certification, or willingness to gain
certification.
* Demonstrate skill with presentation and communication tools
such as MS PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
