Job Summary:
The IT Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to all areas of the farm, including hardware and software installation and maintenance, troubleshooting, network administration, and cybersecurity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripherals
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Monitor and maintain the farm's local area network (LAN) and wireless network
• Implement and maintain network security protocols and procedures to protect against cyber threats and data breaches
• Manage and maintain server hardware, software, and operating systems
• Develop and implement data backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular system maintenance and updates
• Research and recommend new technologies and software applications to improve farm operations
• Provide user training and support for software applications and systems
• Maintain inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses
• Liaise with external vendors for support and maintenance contracts

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required
• 3+ years of experience in IT support or administration, with experience in the agricultural industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing technologies

• The IT Specialist must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time and lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

• The IT Specialist will work primarily in an office environment, with occasional work required in other areas of the farm. The job may require working with confidential information and handling sensitive situations.
• The IT Specialist may be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to provide technical support as needed.
