IT Network Technician

The Central Office is the hub and spokes for any telecommunications organization.  As such, Sierra Tel is seeking an experienced IT Technician to provide exceptional and reliable network services, including network security, switching and routing of all Central Office Data. The selected candidate will be responsible to engineer, install, and troubleshoot items such as routers, switches, wireless networks, Metro Ethernet, DSL technologies, optical carrier systems and fiber optic networks. This is a full-time position and may require overtime as needed. The critical role also includes assignment to on-call shifts on a rotating basis. Sierra Tel is the proud provider of communications services to the mountain community for over 125 years including; telephone, long distance, and internet.  Competitive compensation package that includes 401(k) matching, medical, and vacation. 

REQUIREMENTS

• A.S. Degree in an Information Technology field preferred.
• Minimum five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Cisco or related certification preferred.
