Inventory Specialist/Data Management

The Inventory Specialist (Data Management) is responsible for maintaining precise, real-time inventory data for equipment, tools, spare parts, and materials used in oil and gas operations. This role ensures data integrity across digital inventory systems, supports operational readiness, and aligns with industry safety and compliance standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate digital records of all inventory assets in ERP or specialized oil & gas inventory management systems.

• Track and reconcile stock levels for drilling equipment, production tools, and critical spare parts.

• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and field operations to ensure timely availability of materials.

• Conduct regular data audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

• Generate detailed inventory and usage reports for management, regulatory compliance, and cost control.

• Ensure all inventory data complies with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

• Support predictive maintenance programs by providing accurate asset usage and lifecycle data.

• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data integration between inventory systems and operational platforms.

Qualifications:

• High School or Associates degree.

• 3+ years of inventory control or data management experience in the oil & gas industry (or equivalent experience).

• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and inventory tracking software.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Knowledge of oil & gas operational equipment and industry compliance requirements preferable.
