Washington, D,C. office of an AmLaw firm seeks intellectual property chemical patent associate attorney with 2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience. The candidate will join the firm’s pre-eminent, national Intellectual Property Department’s Chemical, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Practice Group. Must hold an advanced degree in Chemistry or a related field and have strong patent preparation experience - domestic and international, specifically in organic chemistry or similar technology. Experience preparing responses to Office Actions issued by the USPTO is required. Must be admitted before the USPTO, or should be scheduled to take the Patent Bar in the near future. Mandarin language skills would be a plus. Must be in good standing and an active member of the State Bar.
