Information Assurance Analyst

SysNet Technologies is seeking an Information Assurance Analyst to support security assessments and event monitoring. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the FAA National Airspace System (NAS) and operations to include technical operations and maintenance processes and procedures.
 

DUTIES:

• Performs information systems security (ISS) monitoring and event detection for numerous sources of collected security data and assets, including system security event logs, system Internet Protocol (IP) data flows, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) alerts and payload.
• Analyzes results, documents findings, establishes and maintains security event tickets throughout the event life-cycle.
• Coordinates with the FAA Intelligence Organizations to obtain relevant external threat Intelligence from various sources and with stakeholders to develop security event remediation strategies and timelines.
• Supports cyber security Tabletop Exercises (TTX) on-site and remotely and participate in After Action Reviews (AAR).
• Establishes and maintains security event tickets throughout the event life cycle.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of relevant cyber security experience.
• Technical knowledge of air traffic controls systems.
• Conducting/analyzing Security Assessments on various size information systems to include security testing using automated tools such as Nessus, HP WebInspect, MetaSploit, BurpSuite, App Detective, nMap, and Kali Linux.
• Experience conducting analysis of test data, reviewing security documents such as the SCD, SSP, ISCPs and SOPs, and other artifacts collected as part of the assessment.
• Developing/analyzing Security Assessment Reports.
• Strong understanding, and knowledge of, NIST SP 800-53 rev 4 requirements and how-to tailor requirements based on agency security policies and directives.
• Knowledge of networking and various operating systems and networking devices, including Windows, Linux, Unix, and Solaris as well as Web Applications.
• Proficiency of the Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) Process, including selection of appropriate system security requirements to be assessed during continuous monitoring.
• Understanding of how Federal ISS requirements are applied during all phases of the system acquisition life-cycle, including acquisitions of Federally owned and operated systems, and Vendor owned and operated systems.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, such as Engineering, Computer Science or Cyber security required + certification (e.g. CISSP, CEH, CAP, Security + or other related ISS certification).
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

$125,000 salary. Promotion opportunity to team lead and higher salary for those with career goals.
