I. Definition:
The caregiver will do rounds to check on residents and provide incontinence care, assist residents with meals, understand prohibited conditions as set forth in Title 22, and will communicate any issues and problems immediately.
II. Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
One year experience working with the elderly
First Aid and CPR certificate
Fluent English, Oral and Written
III. Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
A. Responsibilities
i. Be respectful, patient and kind when helping the residents ii. Provide incontinence care and assist residents as needed
iii. Assist with meal and snack service
iv. Communicate any sores, bruises or unusual conditions or behavior to the Assisted Living Director/Executive Director
v. Report any refusal of care or complaints to the Assisted Living Director/Executive Director
vi. When paged to provide assistance, respond promptly
vii. Wear scrubs and nametag
viii. Be certain all wandering residents remain safe and secure
B. Duties
i. Bring residents to the dining room
ii. Assist residents with dinner and snacks
iii. Clean tables and prepare tables for breakfast
iv. Do rounds, provide incontinence care and assist residents as needed
