HEDIS Abstractor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Improvement Abstractor to join our team. This role is essential Lead data collection and abstraction for company quality measures, including HEDIS, CMS, CHIPRA and/or any other custom measurements.

Responsibilities

• Assess vendor-delegated abstraction activities and compare results to HEDIS standards and/or custom or other measure set standards
• • Review medical records and abstract data for HEDIS and other measure sets in compliance with standards
• • Track and report on issues and outcomes related to abstractions and over-reads
• • Communicate outcomes of abstraction and over-sight activities with health plans and vendors when required
• • Perform other quality initiatives as necessary
• Will be required to complete training/testing on HEDIS measures (3 attempts). Required score of 95% to pass.
• Will perform independent review of medical records and abstract and overread based on HEDIS measure standards.
• Critical thinking required in order to apply available resources and references to chart reviews.
• Will attend meetings.
• Experience with MS Teams is preferred.
• Computer literacy is a must. This project requires the use of multiple software platforms. Data entry and tracking in Excel, Microsoft Applications, Sharepoint, QMRM(QSHR), Citrix, etc.

Requirements

• Texas LVN/RN license.
• Independent worker, critical thinking skills, computer application proficiency. Previous HEDIS abstraction/overread experience

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $29.00 - $30.00 per hour
