GIS Engineering Specialist

Nestled in a quiet foothill community, Sierra Tel is the premier provider of communications services including; telephone, long distance, and internet.  We are currently seeking to fill a unique role in our Engineering Department.  This position will have the benefit of working in a professional environment both indoors and outdoors, working on a team and being an individual contributor.  Responsibilities will include; design and maintenance of the telecommunications network, gathering and providing information regarding service requests, assigning fiber to service orders, and maintaining accurate GIS data.  Sierra Tel offers a competitive benefits package.

REQUIREMENTS

• Two-year minimum related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Telecommunications experience highly regarded.
• Hands on practice in GIS and mapping software is favored.
• Prior work in AutoCAD  preferred.
