General Construction Laborer

POSITION SUMMARY
 

Will perform a combination of duties as they relate to PolyLevel and production department installations on a case by case basis. Working among the crew and under the direction of the crew chief, you will serve the company with integrity, while upholding the mission and values of the Tribe.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 

• Participates in installation setup, installation, cleanup and maintenance of the equipment.
• Will exercise precision when measuring concrete and administering product to said areas.
• Will interact with clients, explaining services and providing quotes as requested.
• Participates in loading and unloading truck for daily installations.
• Exhibits efficiency, consistency and attention to detail, completing projects in a timely, cost effective manner.

• Drives company truck to and from job as needed. (Non CDL Class C license required in State of Illinois. Chauffeur’s license in State of Indiana)
• Remains compliant at all times with both OSHA and Perma-Seal safety standards and protocol.
• Possesses a strong desire to contribute while working to accomplish related results as directed.
• Builds trusting relationships by working cohesively with crew members and crew chiefs, responding with a sense of urgency to the directives and inquiries of your manager
• Works outside in all types of weather performing concrete raising services.
• Possesses a strong desire to contribute while working to accomplish related results as directed.
• Assist with other duties as directed by the production manager.

• NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
   

• Willingness to learn about concrete raising, construction or related principles and practices.
• Skill in logic and math.

• Reliable transportation promoting punctual, dependable work attendance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be a team player with the ability to work both independently and under supervision.
• Unrestricted lifting ability.
• Attends mandatory weekly safety meetings.
• Driver’s license with insurability as mandated by insurance carrier.
• Previous experience in a position involving comparable labor, preferred.
• Ability to communicate with manager and co-workers about job generalities and specifics--to receive instruction.

• EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
   

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a construction or heavy labor role.
