Garage Supervisor

As part of this growth, we are searching for a new member to join our team as a 2nd Shift Garage Supervisor at our Millsboro, DE complex. The primary purpose of the Garage Supervisor will be to supervise and provide technical support to vehicle and equipment mechanics as needed. The Garage Supervisor will implement training and certification of all Garage Mechanics as well as evaluate performance, while ensuring all Mountaire Farms Safety Procedures and Practices are followed.


Responsibilities include:

• Perform all jobs safely and promote culture of safety in the department
• Monitor preventive maintenance schedule to ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition
• Evaluate what repairs need to be made
• Maintain all commercial vehicles to comply with section 393 of FMCSR

• Minimum High School Diploma, plus course work in auto and equipment mechanics at a trade school and six (6) years’ experience as a mechanic, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Must be on 24-hour call 
• Must possess a valid Driver's License - CDL preferred
• Must be or become certified Brake Inspector within six (6) months of hire date. Must maintain certification throughout employment. 
• Complete knowledge of FMCSR
• Experience with diesel operated forklift
• Computer skills to diagnose machine issues and read results
• Ability to manage diverse team
