 This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and other Supervisors. The tasks listed below describe the major responsibilities of the position but should not be considered conclusive. All handbook principles apply and any directive from a member of management should be followed to the best of one’s ability. This position requires completion of an OSHA approved forklift certification course.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Lift up to 25 lbs alone and 50 lbs assisted.
  • Participate in inventories and work overtime as necessary.
  • Maintain aisle ways in high state of housekeeping.
  • Read a tape measure, write clearly and perform basic math.
  • Possess a working knowledge of product identification and load tags.
  • Refuel tow motor; perform both preventive maintenance checks and operator level maintenance.
  • Obey all safety procedures and policies such as use of seat belts, lights and horns. Report accidents and unsafe acts.
  • Submit to urinalysis after any accident or display of odd behavior.
  • Ability to accurately read pull tickets and pull correct finished good items for the order.
  • Able to load trailers in the correct order so material is stable to ride during delivery.
  • Unload corrugated and industrial vendor trailers, identify line items, verify receipts and store finished goods in designated areas. Turn in receipts to Receiving Manager.
  • Remove finished goods from conveyor main, take off line and store in designated area.
  • Identify correct finished goods, retrieve from rack or other area and pull orders as they are placed in the order tray.
  • Assist other departments as directed by a Supervisor.
  • Keep the rework area supplied with items to be reworked while maintaining order in the area.
  • Load customer pick-ups and assist salesmen as needed when picking up orders themselves.
  • Ability to perform cycle counts when asked by the Inventory Control Manager and the Receiving Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of previous experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment operating forklift
  • Have the ability to complete basic math skills and computer knowledge
  • Have the ability to read a tape measure in standard measurements. Metric measurements is a plus.
  • Work hours are second shift, Monday through Friday 3pm-11pm
