Forklift Mechanic

We are currently hiring an Experienced Forklift Mechanic/Technician to join our client in the forklift retail parts and services business in Reno, Nevada. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly pay range to start, in a fantastic company that is data-driven, customer-centric and family working environment.

Summary:

You will be responsible to work on a variety of different forklift brands including Tailift, Toyota, Crown, Yale, Hyster, and Raymond. Along with electric forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, diesel, gas, and LPG lifts.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible to work on a variety of different forklift brands including Tailift, Toyota, Crown, Yale, Hyster, and Raymond. Along with electric forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, diesel, gas, and LPG lifts.
• Perform routine, emergency and preventative maintenance of forklifts.
• Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed.
• Troubleshoot forklift problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.
• Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required.
• Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements.
• Maintain an organized and neat work area.
• Competent to complete legible service documents and logs for preventative maintenance tasks.
• Learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe, neat, and orderly environment of the facilities

Skills and Qualifications:

• 2 years of Mechanical knowledge and skills
• 1 year experience as a Forklift Mechanic
• Valid driver's license
• Valid certification to operate forklifts
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Able to work safely and follow company rules and procedures
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Team player
• Effective verbal, written and communication skills
• Excellent physical condition, coordination and able to lift to 50lbs.
• High school diploma
• A positive can-do attitude
• Must have a valid legal authorization to work in USA.
