Food Preparation Worker

Brief Job Description:

Food Preparation workers prepares ingredients for recipes and performs other routine food preparation duties under the direction of the prepared foods department supervisor. This particular position includes everything from preparing ingredients to rotating ingredients effectively to optimize freshness and ensure desired stock levels at all times. Food Preparation Workers will also collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Working effectively with the kitchen team
• Complying with Bell’s Market procedures and food safety policies
• Preparing workstation with required ingredients/equipment while maintaining a clean and healthy workstation by sanitizing throughout the whole shift
• Preparing ingredients while following recipes and guidelines
• Steaming vegetables and other basic cooking responsibilities
• Ensuring ingredients are tagged, date-labeled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively
• Overseeing food levels and restocking items on time
• Keeping utensils and equipment clean and sanitary
• Establishing stock levels at end of shift and capturing information on standardized stock sheets
• Removing trash and clearing storage bins
• Other such duties and responsibilities included
