Job Description:
Provide production and support for food preparation, which includes but is not limited to cooking, stocking, rotating, serving, and maintaining of products within Housing and Dining.

Required Qualifications:
Experience following basic work instructions. Experience in stocking coolers, and maintaining work area, and preparing food in a commercial establishment. Experience preparing food in a commercial establishment with significant customer interaction. Be able to work independently and with others while working in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school graduation or GED. 1 year or more of food preparation / recipe experience in a fast paced/high volume retail food service environment. Six months or more of experience receiving, stocking of dry items, bottled beverages, and frozen merchandise. Demonstrated ability in training and guiding other staff in their duties. Ability to multi-task and work with little supervision. Demonstrated ability to receive, respond, and follow through with written and oral University and Housing and Food policies, procedures and work-related instructions and requests from supervisors, customers, and co-workers. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills. Professional demeanor and ability to work with a diverse staff and customer base. Have and maintain a current ServSafe Certificate or a current Travis County Food Handlers Card.
Salary Range:
$27,040 + depending on qualifications
