Festival Logistics Intern

Dates: August-November

Job Description: The Festival Logistics Intern will be part of the Venue and Logistics team, helping organize and run the staging elements of the 26th Austin Film Festival. The Venue and Logistics team works with every department inside of the Austin Film Festival in order to support and help execute the inspiring programming that makes up hundreds of events and film screenings the Festival offers. The Festival Logistics Intern will actively help set up panels, talkbacks, and other events throughout the Festival and maintain clear lines of communication between AFF team members and guests. Alongside the Venue and Logistics Coordinator, the Festival Logistics Intern will also assist in the management of a volunteer team. This internship provides a chance to gain skills that would be valuable in a number of career paths such as:

• Meeting, convention, and event planning
• Volunteer management
• Operations, logistics, and administrative services
• Facility management
• Audience development

Skills Needed:

• Must be able to lift at least 25lbs.
• Problem-solving skills and patience
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to stay calm under pressure and be flexible to the needs of various collaborators
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent interpersonal skills
