Job Purpose: To the effect of direct supervision of the Director of Family Service will maintain a caseload of individuals, couples, families, and groups; identify and evaluate presenting problems and related symptoms; provide counseling services in VOCA, Parenting, Anger Management, and other general mental health counseling services; make diagnostic impressions, develop treatment goals and plans, apply appropriate therapy techniques to assist the client to develop and gain greater emotional stability and more appropriate behaviors. Explore and utilize new methods, knowledge, and techniques in order to understand and effectively provide intervention, and to advocate when indicated on behalf of clients.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health and actively enrolled in a Master’s Degree program in Behavioral Health. Student is to obtain 600 hours of applied internship hour requirements towards graduation within six months of hire and related experience and/or training.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver's license
PCI
CPR
VOCA training within 3 months of hire.
