Job Responsibilities

• Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.
• Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.
• Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.
• Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.
• Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Requirements:

- Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatric Specialties

- Active and unrestricted Tennessee License

- Active and unrestricted DEA

- Full vaccinations and immunizations

- References

- Experience treating youth in a school or college setting

Locums, Inc. is seeking Mid-level (NP or PA) for Part-time services working with at-risk youth in the south of Memphis, TN.  We are seeking a sensitive Midlevel with experience understanding and encouraging youth in need of direction.    

 About the Opportunity:

- Period of Performance is approx. 5/1/21 to 10/31/21 with 4 Option years

- Shift will be about 4 hours, 1 day a week, holidays excluded

- Providers will mainly perform patient examinations, immunizations, disease screening, diagnosis, treatment, and medical advisement of center management

- Mid-level will operate under the direction of Physician 

- Located in the south of Memphis, TN near the border with Mississippi

- Malpractice Insurance provided
