ROTOGRAVURE CENTER OF EXCELLENCE  

  

SUMMARY: Prepare price quotes for customers, complete bid packages, verify items through order build process, verify/approve pricing associated to customer orders, complete material price reviews, analyze job performance and product profitability details to aid in decision making.  

  

LOCATION: Columbus, WI  

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:   

  • Prepare Customer Price Quotes and Complete Bid Packages. Receive a RFQ (Request for Quote) via APCS (American Packaging Commercialization System). Gather any additional information from various departments regarding structures, costs, graphics and manufacturing requirements. Determine margin and prepare price quote. Consult with Business Development Manager, Operations Manager, Technical Director, Sales and Executive Committee when appropriate. Present price quote and or bid packages to Sales in a timely manner.  
  • Verify the quote and price match the structure and size for the item being generated through the Order Build process.  
  • Request updates to BOM’s for alternate material qualifications and position of primary vs alternate supplier’s due to price reasons.  
  • Price Verification. Review Pricing Verification Report and approve or disprove order pricing with comments back to Customer Service.  
  • Raw Material Price Changes. Calculate the label effect of raw material increases and or decreases and review with Business Development Manager. Update the quotes for any changes and provide to the Account Manager for notification to the customer. Update all spreadsheets with new information. Make sure Customer Service and Cost Accounting have current quotes.  
  • Analyze actual job costs and product profitability reports to develop standard manufacturing specifications related to set up, run and waste performance. Utilize this information in generating new price quotes and/or while conducting a review of customer account in preparation of a bid or contract negotiation.  
  • Work with management and sales to help evaluate and quantify cost savings proposals.  
  • Other duties as assigned.   

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

Associate’s degree (A.A) in Accounting or related field; and two to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment would be helpful.  

FOOD SAFETY TRAINING REQUIREMENTS  

Food Safety Training, consisting of the GMP/PPE/Food Safety Policy, HACCP Plan and SQF System is provided to all personnel at the time of hiring. Refresher training is completed annually, based on the anniversary month of the employee’s date of hire. Completion of this training is a condition of employment.  

LANGUAGE SKILLS  

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.  

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS  

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, ratios and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.  

REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.  

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES  

Must be proficient with Microsoft software including, but not limited to, Excel and Word. Must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities, work independently and as a member of a team, be able to effectively communicate with all internal and external customers, and possess uncompromising judgment and accuracy.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.  

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
