Estimator / Project Manager - Commercial Drywall/Steel Stud Framing

A leading Commercial Drywall/Steel Stud Framing company based in South Pasadena, CA, and serving the surrounding Los Angeles metropolitan area, is currently seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:

Estimator Duties:

• Oversee analysis of past project performance and help establish estimating standards for future projects.
• Assist in overseeing the effectiveness of bid management and estimating software.
• Establish standardized estimating methods and processes, and train other estimating personnel.
• Make final decisions on procedures, processes, techniques, and personnel decisions for assigned projects.

Project Manager Duties:

• Actively participate in safety plans and measures for the branch and assigned projects.
• Create and manage punch lists proactively.
• Be accountable for Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program for assigned projects.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Understand our building systems and their relation to the building process.
• Navigate and coordinate activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Perform quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
• Create and implement job schedules, coordinate with field supervisors and foremen, and communicate issues to optimize our trade's position in the work sequence.
• Perform labor control on assigned projects, making adjustments to maximize profits.
• Coordinate warranties and O&M’s.
• Assist in selecting vendors and coordinating materials and equipment.
• Assist in the buyout of subcontractors, issue contracts, and manage subcontractor work, including billings and change orders.
• Complete and be accountable for job cost control measures through monthly Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAWs) on assigned projects.
• Support the branch through positive customer relations and active participation in the Customer Alignment Plan.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience estimating and managing commercial drywall projects.
• Stable work history.
• Proficiency in bid management and estimating software.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take direction well.

Salary: $120,000 - $200,000 per year
