Our Electronics Manufacturing Service located in Wilsonville that has been building circuit boards and electronic assemblies for over 35 years is seeking new Entry-Level Technicians to fill our growing needs. We're offering a $500 hiring bonus after 3 months of employment.
We have multiple openings for the positions in our Production and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) departments to fulfill orders in the Agriculture, Medical, Defense and Energy Storage industries that want American Made products.
We've been successful in managing the ongoing Supply Chain challenges for our customers, which allows us to offer long-term positions that provide stable employment with opportunities for advancement.
We're looking for motivated individuals who have technical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and great communication skills within a small team environment.
These positions are primarily full-time with variable start times between 6am to 7:30am, Monday-Friday. Part-time hours would be an option for the right candidate at 24-30 hours per week.
Compensation starts at $22 per hour. Dental Ins-100% Paid, Vacation/PTO and 401K Benefits are available after 3 months of employment and a performance raise for full-time employees. Part-time employees receive the same benefits, except Dental coverage.
Job Title: Production and SMT - Solder Technician and Assisting as a Production Equipment Operator:
Solder Technicians perform most of the assembly work at the facility and will be trained to assemble components for new circuit boards. Candidates should have basic through-hole and surface mount soldering skills, and a general working knowledge of electronic components and practices.
Responsibilities:
• Build electrical assemblies from schematics and drawings
• Assists with programming and set up of assembly equipment
• Assists with work orders, inventory, and raw materials tracking
• Assists with packaging/shipping or other production areas as needed
Education and Experience:
• Preference given to One-Year of experience in working with electronic components and soldering
• Experience with SMT components and SMT soldering desired
Qualifications/Skills and Physical Demands:
• High School Diploma preferred; GED acceptable
• IPC-A-610 or equivalent certification is a plus
• General understanding of electronic components and circuits is ideal
• Working knowledge of electrical standards is a plus
• Ability to follow drawings, diagrams, written and verbal instructions; printed and Web-based applications
• Semi-skilled in the use of basic hand and power tools, multimeters, and soldering irons
• Excellent hand-eye coordination (dexterity)
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (Russian or Spanish speaking a plus)
• Good organizational, documentation, and reporting skills
• Ability to organize and achieve priorities
• Ability to work both in a small team environment and independently
• Ability to Lift 25 pounds is required
