Department Production Manager – Garment Care

Signature is seeking a Production Manager for its garment care department. The ultimate objective of this role is to ensure that all garments are processed with high quality in a timely fashion through the facility. The ideal candidate would come in and maintain the current operations, as well as drive to improve the operations. This management role opens the opportunity to grow with the company as it grows. We currently have 4 different divisions are are always looking for new growth opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of approximately 12-15 team members
• Manage laundry operations including sorting, washing, and finishing.
• Manage warehouse operations including restocking.
• Optimize team productivity and hours including overtime.
• Manage responses to customers as related to the garment division.
• Manage the facility including organization, security, and employee safety.
• Provide supervision in case of security and safety incidents.
• Provide daily work supervision for the drivers who assist in production.
• Engage with upper management to implement continuous improvement projects.
• Recruit and train new and project-based production staff.
• Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis.

All Candidates must have:

• Experience managing
• Customer service experience
• Prior dry cleaning and/or laundry experience
• Experience managing and/or training employees
• Organizational skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Sign a non-disclosure agreement
• Basic computer skills: email, excel, word, etc
• Must be able to read and write English, and perform basic math skills.
• Positive high energy level and stamina to work in a production environment which can be hot and humid.
• Ability to stand for duration of shift
• Ability to lift 0-50 pounds, bend, reach and use foot petals, and freely access all areas of the plant.
• Valid Drivers License

Additional requirements, but not necessary:

• Experience in a Dry Cleaning or Laundry company
• Bi-Lingual in Spanish
• Business to business experience
• Some secondary education after high school

Salary: $42,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year

Signature recently doubled its capacity when moving to a 78,000 square foot plant designed to service the growing DFW market. Signature is positioned to grow each division significantly in the next few years and is looking for managers to improve our service levels.
