Dog Walker/Pet Sitter

Do you love animals?  Do you want to make some extra money?  Puget Sound Pets, one of Seattle’s oldest dog walking/pet sitting services is under new ownership and  hiring part time dog walkers/pet sitters!  We are looking for a few dedicated and reliable animal lovers to service clients in Capital Hill, Greenwood, Ballard, Edgewood, Bellevue, Kirkland, Renton, Issaquah, West Seattle, Ballard, Queen Anne and more!  We offer dog walking services, puppy enrichment visits, pet sit visits, overnight services, taxi services and more.  We do not provide “pack style” walks and instead focus on a single family of pets per visit and walk them through their own neighborhood.  Puget Sound Pets matches walkers with clients in a close geographic region so as to minimize driving/commute time with the goal of having a regular/consistent schedule for both the walker/sitter and the pet.  Our goal is to provide our employees with regular clients so there is some regularity to their schedule.  The bulk of our services occur from 10am- 4pm with mid day walks being offered from 1030am-230pm.  This is a part time employment position that allows for a flexible schedule and pays per services; this breaks down to:

• $12 per 30 Minute Walk/Service
• $15 per 45 Minute Walk/Service 
• $18  per week 60 Minute Walk/Service

Additional opportunities for income can be earned by way of overnight pet sitting/house sitting, puppy visits, walking multiple pets in the same family, medication administration.

Requirements:

•  Some experience working with dogs and cats
•  Vehicle to provide transportation to and from client homes.
•  Availability- we try to fit your schedule and be flexible- this is a great part time opportunity for anybody looking to earn extra income while in the company of great pets often while getting some exercise .  
• Have a smart phone with texting/email/camera capabilities & be willing to download work appropriate apps/software to that phone to facilitate schedule communications along with access to the internet.
