QUACK'S 43RD ST BAKERY IS LOOKING FOR A DISHWASHER TO JOIN THE FAMILY.

What you'll do:

- You will keep the bakery running smoothly by loading, running and unloading the dish machine, and maintaining adequate levels of clean kitchenware at all times

.- Monitor the dish machine at all times. Keep it clean, monitor the wash cycle to ensure it is sanitary and effective, and report any problems immediately

.- Keep the dish room sparkling and organized, the kitchen floors and dining room hallways swept mopped and sanitized, and monitoring sanitation buckets and production areas.

- Handle kitchenware carefully to prevent breakage and loss

- Follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures

- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.

You need to:

- Have a positive attitude

- Be able to do a great job efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Have prior restaurant or dish experience in a fast-paced environment is a plus

- Be a team player.

- Be comfortable standing for long periods of time

- Completely follow safety procedures

- Be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular, consistent basis.

- Be available for full-time work; Available to work weekends, holidays, days or evenings

Mantendrás la panadería funcionando suavemente cargando, corriendo y descargando la máquina de platos, y manteniendo los niveles adecuados de utensilios de cocina limpios en todo momento.

Supervise la máquina del plato en todo momento. 

Manténgalo limpio, supervise el ciclo de lavado para asegurarse de que sea higiénico y efectivo, e informe de cualquier problema inmediatamente.

Mantenga la sala de los platos espumosos y organizados, los pisos de cocina y los pasillos del comedor barridos limpiados y desinfectados, y la vigilancia de los cubos de saneamiento y áreas de producción.

We are an old-school Austin establishment at heart, and we are fortunate to be entangled with the city’s weird and unique history. We have provided Austin locals with stellar coffee and espresso drinks as well as scratch-made baked goods for 3 decades and have amassed a small-scale ‘Cult Following’ of loyal patrons that visit us daily (and sometimes multiple times a day!)  At Quack’s, we strive to use only the highest quality, natural ingredients in our baking and we take every opportunity to avoid using artificial flavors, colors and additives wherever possible. We are excited to have you onboard and hope that you will help us continue our mission to provide our guests with out-of-this-world baked goods and espresso drinks at reasonable prices for another 35+ years!
Originally launched in 1983 on “the Drag”, directly across the street from the University of Texas, not far from where our 43rd Street location is now. We had a successful 13-year tenure on The Drag, but in 1996, we realized that to get a quality and affordable baked good to pair with our coffee offerings, we would have to do it ourselves. Behold, the creation of Quack’s 43rd Street Bakery. Quack’s took over a shell that was once the locally-adored Hyde Park Bakery, and the neighbors wasted no time in welcoming us with open arms. We have been producing fresh, scratch-made, natural-when-possible baked goodies at this location ever since. We wanted to share our baked goods with other locally owned and operated businesses, as well as expand our orbit, and this launched our Wholesale Operation. To date, we have approximately 45 wholesale accounts, reaching nearly every corner of the Austin area.
In early 2017, we began to further our reach, breaking into the South Austin market with a large-scale expansion project - Captain Quackenbush’s Coffeehouse as well as GALACTIC HQ – a “Corporate Office”, for lack of a better word – as well as breaking into East Austin with Lady Quackenbush’s Cakery – where we create and provide wedding and celebration cakes and cookies to both long-time Quack’s customers as well as a newer generation of Austinites. We continue to grow and develop with the neighborhoods and communities we’re a part of and we plan on being in the city for a very long time to come and we hope that you decide to join our team and grow with us.
