Thompson is seeking an energetic, organized, articulate individual with excellent people skills to oversee our high quality, 5-Star, child development center. This is a full-time, management position that requires independent judgment, initiative, creativity, and flexibility. Candidate would have expertise in early childhood education and management. Incumbent welcomes collaboration with the teaching staff; enjoys interacting with children, families, and stakeholders; is dedicated to promoting an appreciation for various cultures and values; and is passionate about building a nurturing, dynamic center to serve families and their children.
Physical Requirement: Will frequently perform a wide variety of physical tasks such as standing, walking, running, stooping, bending, and lifting of children, which requires strength, coordination, endurance, and agility. The employee must be agile enough to control and rapidly extricate him/herself and children from buildings in case of an emergency. Persons with any medical problems such as joint problems, obesity, arthritis or cardiopulmonary conditions, where it would be unwise or not possible to engage in moderate physical exertion should not be considered.
Bachelor’s Degree is required, Master’s preferred in Early Childhood Education and must possess a level III Childcare Administrators Credentials. Candidate must have strong education and interpersonal skill and has demonstrated team leadership as well as possess the ability to interface effectively with the community.
A valid driver’s license in the state of your residence, at least 3 years of driving with a driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test and an extensive background check is required. No calls please.
