POSITION INFORMATION

Merakey is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals and Lead Direct Support Professionals to support our consumers in our IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services) group homes in Escondido, CA. Current positions available include Full Time, Part Time, and Per Diem schedules.

DSP COMPENSATION

• DSP pay rate starts at $15 & $17 per hour
• Lead DSP pay rate starts at $16 & $18 per hour
• Fee for Service DSP pay rate starts at $19 per hour
• Medical, Dental and Vision benefits are available for all full time employees.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Direct Support Professional interacts with and supports the individual in a variety of potential settings, including community, family or individual homes and generic community settings, and Adult Training Facilities.

• Provides personal care, instruction, guidance, mentoring, companionship and support, often across a 24-hour period, according to the individual's Person-Centered Plan/Individual Support Plan (ISP).
• Assists, teaches, and monitors daily living activities including (but not limited to) personal hygiene, bathing, shaving, grooming, medications, laundry and room care.

CORE REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license
• Must have a verifiable High School Diploma/GED education or higher
• Must have at least 6 months of paid and verifiable experience working with IDD Adults or children in a group home or residential setting.
