LINQM is looking for a new team member for our client in north county
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of systems, products, assemblies, and components that meet specified requirements.
2. Provide clear and concise project/product related information to the product development team and company leadership.
3. Responsible for the on-time, on-quality, and on-budget delivery of project tasks.
4. Product or component prototype fabrication, design evaluations, and testing.
5. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
6. Assists in developing and maintaining product and/or process documentation including document control.
7. Supports the manufacture of existing products through needed design changes to improve quality/cost.
8. Assists with outside manufacturer selection, evaluation and communication and provides support in the establishment and maintenance of suppliers.
9. Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
Required knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. High level of proficiency in SolidWorks & Drawing Works (preferred), Rhinoceros 3d and/or Pro e. Knowledge in AutoCad and Catia also beneficial.
2. Must have direct work experience with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and demonstrate the ability to:
a) Read, analyze and interpret engineering specification, sketches and technical procedures.
b) Read and generate Engineer drawings per ANSI 14.5.
c) Use (or direct the use of) prototype shop tools and machinery to produce and test prototype parts.
d) Methodically analyze engineering issues and provide practical solutions in timely manner.
e) Model positive, professional, and influential interpersonal skills and behaviors.
f) Plan, track, and accomplish goals.
Education and Experience:
1. B.S. in Engineering (preferred) or technical degree in Engineering Design or similar
2. 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Preferably have experience in the water/wastewater industry
