Delivery Driver

Job Skills /Requirements:

This position is accountable for packing, driving, delivering and service monitoring meals delivered to clients. Persons performing this position must be flexible and willing to perform a variety of duties or routes from day-to-day.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, from floor to waist up to 40 lbs.; take bags down from top racks; 2 handed carrying; pulling and pushing products weighing up to 40 lbs. on a cart. Physical actions include standing, walking, climbing, carrying, handling, stooping, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting, reading and driving a vehicle.

More simply put, our mission is to enable them to live at home where they are comfortable and happy for as long as safely possible. Over the past 60+ years, our organization has grown from a senior citizen's center into a multi-program community-based service agency that serves not only Montgomery County but the Greater Miami Valley and beyond. On an annual basis, our organization serves well over 15,000 individuals and addresses issues that make seniors especially vulnerable such as nutrition, safety, personal needs, mental health and social well-being. Our “cluster of services” benefits our clients and their caregivers as well as case managers because using one provider simplifies care coordination efforts. Oftentimes, navigating the system to initiate necessary services in the home can be confusing and exasperating. Our agency has the ability to offer all of these services “under one roof” and with one point of contact which greatly minimizes the amount of time spent with frustrating day-to-day communication and care coordination issues as well as addressing problems and concerns in a timely manner.
 

ABILITY TO: Plan, organize and document work effectively; function independently and effectively in a home setting; treat patients in a tactful and courteous manner; communicate with all levels and types of patients in a clear and concise manner.

SKILL IN: All aspects of home and personal care; demonstrating correct procedures to nurse supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Standard high school diploma or equivalent preferred, with Ohio Certification as a HHA, STNA or CNA and experience a clinical atmosphere such as a hospital, nursing home or home care service or any equivalent of education and experience.

Must submit to a Criminal background check and motor vehicle. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License or state issued ID and maintain a clear driving record. Must complete at least 12 hours of continuing education annually.
