Data Scientist (Remote)

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our team. This is a remote position. This position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Job Description:
Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic team in the healthcare sector. As a Healthcare IT Data Scientist, you will play a vital role in leveraging data analytics and machine learning to drive actionable insights and innovations that enhance patient care, improve healthcare operations, and support strategic decision-making. This role is within a government context requiring U.S. citizenship, a college degree, and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis and Modeling:

• Utilize data mining and statistical analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex healthcare datasets.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive models to address healthcare-related challenges, such as patient outcomes, disease prediction, resource allocation, and cost optimization.

• Clean, preprocess, and curate large healthcare datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Collaborate with data engineers to access, transform, and structure data for analysis.

• Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics, risk assessment, and personalized healthcare.
• Use natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision for unstructured data analysis in healthcare records and medical imaging.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to identify data-driven insights and solutions that enhance patient care and healthcare operations.

• Create meaningful data visualizations and reports to communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and implement security measures to protect sensitive patient data.

• Stay updated on the latest healthcare research, technologies, and trends to continuously improve and innovate in the healthcare analytics domain.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.
• Eligibility for Government security clearance.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist in the healthcare industry, or relevant role in the field.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist in the healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, R), machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards, terminologies (ICD-10, SNOMED), and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Understanding of healthcare compliance and regulations, including HIPAA.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced information technology data quality team environment servicing the healthcare industry.
