Data Analyst

This position is located in Southaven, MS, not a remote working opportunity.

Data Analyst will systematically collect, process, and perform statistical analyses on data sets by effectively turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into business recommendations.

Role Overview:

• Create, design and maintain the structures of a database and data systems
• Collect, process and analyze data to derive insights for organizational decision-making
• Develop and implement data collection systems and strategies to optimize efficiency and data quality
• Interpret data, apply statistical techniques, find patterns and trends and provide ongoing reporting

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection and Processing:

• • Gather data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Access, enter and maintain sensitive data in databases requiring appropriate discretion and confidentiality
  • Cleanse and preprocess data to acknowledge duplicates, remove errors and inconsistencies
  • Become familiar with and assist in maintenance of GIS mapping software

  Statistical Analysis and Interpretation:
  • Utilize statistical methods to analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and correlations
  • Present findings through reports, visualizations, and presentations to stakeholders

• 
  Data Visualization and Reporting:
  • Create visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate insights
  • Prepare regular reports and analyses to support strategic problem-solving and decision-making

Technical Skills:

• Information Technology Background is preferred
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R or SQL for data manipulation and analysis
• Possess a solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (SPSS, SAS, Excel, or Access)
• Exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proven experience as a data analyst or in a similar role, showcasing successful data analysis projects
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to diverse audiences
