Rainbow Universe Pageants & Youth Services is looking for an eclectic group of experienced Creative Designers to form our very important and vital to our mission Creative Design Team. The roles needed for this team include: Fashion/Jewelry Designer, Graphics Designer, Junior Designer, Video Producer/Photographer, Production Artist/Marketing Designer, Multi-Media Artist & Animator under the direction of our Chief Creative Officer who is also the CEO of the company to devise our marketing & creative design strategy, create content & designs, and monitor its progress. Some of these roles are subject to being eliminated if unnecessary or there may be additions to this team not included on this list. You will be able to implement your creative vision and become the points of reference for any creative plan that wants to make its way to our audience and clients. We are looking for a team that will contribute to our overall brand and marketing strategy aligned with our mission and our brand colors which are the nine colors of the rainbow (pink, green, yellow, orange, violet, tan, blue, indigo, and red). Our sashes and crowns are specially designed and created to represent our brand for each pageant that we produce. We also sell branded merchandise for our RainbowUP Boutique and our online store.
Responsibilities of Chief Creative Officer (CEO’s role)
Responsible for high-level decisions, and will be leading the team as follows:
Responsibilities of each Creative Design Team Member:
Fashion Designer (full-time): responsible for researching fashion and jewelry trends, creates sketches of their designs, pitches to Chief Creative Designer, and manages the production process for all designs. This person will be designing the merchandise for the RUPYS brand will all 9 rainbow colors included. Designs include hats, t-shirts, hoodies, leggings, cargo pants, accessories and any other branded merchandise as needed.
The person for this role will be skilled in:
Graphics Designer (part-time): responsible for creating designs for marketing collateral, product illustrations, brand identities and websites using computer software like the Adobe® Creative Suite. This person will merge technical skill with artistic ability to create designs that resonates with its desired audience (youth target market 13-24).
The person for this role will be skilled in:
Junior Designer (part-time): Under the direction of the Fashion Designer, this position is specially created for a youth or young adult seeking a career in Fashion or Creative Design. The person for this role will create engaging designs according to requirements, participate in various design projects from concept to completion, produce drafts, prototypes and engaging design solutions, listen to feedback and hone skills to improve designs. You should be highly creative and have a sharp eye for details, create impactful designs that capture and promote our company vision and appeal to your peers, our youth target market.
The person for this role will be skilled in::
Video Producer/Photographer (part-time): A Video Producer is responsible for planning and implementing all of the elements of a video project. Their duties include securing the rights to intellectual property, managing logistics for the film set and overseeing post-production tasks like editing and video animation. A Photographer is responsible for taking clear, dynamic photos according to client specifications. Their duties include setting up backdrops, lighting and equipment to prepare for a photo shoot, directing contestants and title winners to capture the perfect image and editing the photos to remove blemishes and correct lighting issues.
The person for this role will be skilled in:
Production Artist/Marketing Designer (full-time): While an art director comes up with creative concepts and a graphic designer executes them, it’s the production artist who brings them to life. That’s why strong typographic and layout skills, strict attention to detail, and outstanding organizational, project management, file-organization and archiving skills are a must. Organize multiple projects while delivering against timelines and managing expectations. Also responsible for making a design work for various mediums like billboards, online ads, brochures, and social media.
The person for this role will be skilled in:
Multimedia Artist & Animator (part-time): responsible for creating and managing the visual content needs of the multimedia department. This role is for a creative individual competent in the execution of storytelling in motion graphics and in video editing. The creative needs to be able to work directly with internal creative and clients to create and deliver their audio/visual needs. create two- and three-dimensional models, images that appear to move, and visual effects for television, movies, video games, and other forms of media.

Personality and Interests
Multimedia artists and animators typically have an interest in the creating interest area, according to the Holland Code framework. The Creating interest area indicates a focus on being original and imaginative, and working with artistic media.
If you are not sure whether you have a Creating interest which might fit with a career as a multimedia artist and animator, you can take a career test to measure your interests.
Multimedia artists and animators should also possess the following specific qualities:
Artistic talent. Animators and artists should have artistic ability and a good understanding of color, texture, and light. However, they may be able to compensate for artistic shortcomings with better technical skills.
Communication skills. Multimedia artists and animators need to work as part of a complex team and respond well to criticism and feedback.
Computer skills. Many multimedia artists and animators use computer programs or write programming code to do most of their work.
Creativity. Artists and animators must be able to think creatively to develop original ideas and make them come to life.
Time-management skills. The hours required by most studio and game design companies are long, particularly when there are tight deadlines. Artists and animators need to be able to manage their time when a deadline approaches.

Location: all positions are a part of our In-house design team which requires in office work with the exception of the Photographer who will travel from time to time for photo shoots

Rainbow Universe Pageants is an inner beauty pageant system that caters to youth ages 13-24. We produce unique and innovative pageant productions as well as provide an array of youth services and programs to promote and motivate youth to excellence. Our youth contestants participate in pre-pageant workshops to prepare them for their competition and all of the attention they will be receiving as contestants.
