JLGOV seeks PC support technicians have a wide array of job responsibilities, such as upgrading components of aging systems and removing viruses. Employees may also be responsible for networking features, like servers and routers. While the tasks of PC support technicians are generally similar, some individuals work on specialty systems developed for specific purposes. A PC support technician working for software or hardware developers also assists customers with issues on specific products.

Staff IT Help Desk to provide Level 1 & 2 unit IT support.
Address user Level 1 & 2 tickets regarding hardware moves, software installation, and peripheral network device installs.
Maintain an excellent level of customer service, ensuring all customers are treated efficiently and in appropriate manner.
Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system and any other duties as assigned by the Project Lead.
Ensure data entered into logs/records/files is accurate.
Record technical issues and solutions in activity reports.
Sustain and fix issues on LAN/WAN (both NIPRNet and SIPRNet), VoIP telephone, Biometric, Audio / Video systems, video teleconferencing systems, telephone (landline and mobile), and other computing equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with individual or multiple computer systems in order to maintain proper functioning; resolve issues including contacting and assisting vendors on warranty issues.
Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with various web-based systems (DTS, CPARS, etc.)
Preserve logon credentials, data integrity, and file system security for the computing environment.
Manage the day-to-day accountability and inventory of computer assets (hardware and software) using AF-approved processes as described in AFMAN 17-1203, Information Technology (IT) Asset Management (ITAM).

Must Have a Secret Level Clearance
Must be at least IAT-Level I certified: CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA-Security; IAT-Level II CompTIA Security+ preferred.
Bachelor degree required or equivalent at least 3 years' experience as a desktop or help desk analyst or an equivalent combination.
Three (3) years experience in the repair, maintenance, and support of network and standalone computer equipment and peripherals for workstation, laptops, and networking equipment.
Knowledge and experience in the performance of computer systems support, network administration on LAN/WAN with Department of Defense (DOD) classified (SIPRNET) and unclassified (NIPRNET) environments.
Current experience providing systems administration support with elevated permissions.
Familiarity with a variety of Tier 1 and Tier 2 actions related to maintenance, operations, and support services for voice, video, data and infrastructure.
Experience with IT service desk ticketing systems; Remedy preferred.
Knowledge of the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), as well as experience utilizing Automatic Data Processing Equipment (ADPE).
