Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant
 

Job Description:

• Assist in organizing household items.
• Demonstrate and assist with basic housekeeping tasks (sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, dishes).
• Care for clothing (ironing, laundering, and simple mending).
• Provide transportation for approved essential shopping.
• Assist or administer bed or tub bath, basin, shower or sitz.
• Assist with or dress client.
• Assist and/or perform hair care.
• Assist and/or perform skin care.
• Assist and/or perform nail care (toenails may not be trimmed if client has diabetes/peripheral vascular disease).
• Mouth care (including dentures).
• Make and unoccupied or occupied bed.
• Assist with mobility with/without assistive devices.
• Assist with active range of motion exercises if prescribed by M.D.
• Assist with transfers with/without mechanical devices.
• Assist with planning and preparing proper food handling, food storage, and pest control.
• Prepare client for mealtime and assist with feeding.
• Take/record vital signs, temperature, height, and weight.
• Assist client with bedpan and/or urinal.
• Administer enemas and douches per M.D. order.
• Apply condom catheters.
• Collect test urine or fecal specimens.
• Bowel/bladder retraining.
• Observe, record and report self-administered medications.
• Apply/remove prosthetic devices for stable clients.
• Apply Ace bandages, TED’s binders.
• Apply prescribed heat and cold.
• Change non-sterile dressings.
• Care for non-infected decubitus ulcers.
• Assist client with understanding medical orders/routines and encourage compliance.
• Recognize and report indicators or abuse, neglect, illness etc. to proper professional.
• Provide basic first aid.
• Respond to emergency needs as they may occur per company policy.
• Assist with planning and preparing proper meals.
• Skills listed below must have competency demonstrated and verified by RN before performing.



Requirements:

0-6 months experience

High School graduate or equivalent preferred

Must have completed a Board of Nursing approved program for NA-1 aide training and competency program.

Must be listed with the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry.

Minimum 18 years of age



Job Type:  Full and Part time available
 

Compensation: $11.00-$12.00/hour depending on experience
