Civil Engineer - EIT/EI - Environmental (Albuquerque, NM)

 

We are seeking a candidate with a BS/MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering . The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have strong communications and relationship building skills and at minimum hold an EIT/EI certificate. The candidate in this position will be design heavy to then delegate to our talented technologists to detail out. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail and ability to communicate with diverse knowledge groups. Civil 3D and AutoCAD are required.

Qualifications 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil/Environmental) required.
Professional registration (EIT/EI in Texas or NM or ability to acquire through reciprocity).
Responsibilities of an Environmental Civil EIT/EI

Experience the full scope of landfill development, operation, engineering, and closure services, including landfill gas collection and control, siting studies, liner and cover system design/construction, closure plan development, geotechnical assessment, solid waste planning and financial studies, design of waste collection, transfer, and recycling facilities, and/or development of source reduction and recycling programs.  Additional tasks include site assessments, field investigations, underground storage tank investigations, and remediation as well as environmental monitoring of soil, water and air. Work with environmental/air permitting, including collaboration with the New Mexico Environment Department/Texas Commission of Environmental Quality as well as developing a background in Subtitle D regulations. Through your experiences you will develop a strong civil foundation.

Insight. You will often work with business experts such as lawyers and other professionals outside of your field. You will be required to not only write, but also read and comprehend documents with topics outside your scope of training.

Influence. Must be able to communicate clearly so that others without your specific training can understand your proposals, permitting documents, plans, specifications, findings, and other documents.
