CERTIFIED DIESEL MECHANIC

Flash Oilfield Services is currently seeking a dependable and experienced certified diesel mechanic to handle the duties and responsibilities of keeping up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will perform repairs and preventative maintenance work on vacuum trucks, vacuum trailers and Company vehicles in accordance with factory and oilfield industry standards, run diagnostics and work closely with other team members to meet Company goals.

Compensation will be based on experience, certifications, tools and licenses.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The major duties and responsibilities of the mechanic include:

• Perform minor and major repairs on heavy trucks, service trucks and trailers.
• Complete overhaul of engines, transmissions and other sub-systems, i.e. brake systems, fuel systems, ignition and electrical systems, exhaust systems, suspension systems and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on heavy trucks, service trucks and trailers, including tire rotation and oil changes.
• Root cause failure analysis.
• Obtaining correct parts from stock and documenting.
• Documenting inspections and completed repairs on the work order.
• Cleaning equipment, tools and work area.
• Collaborate with team members to diagnose problems and plan repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair for performed on vehicles.
• Performing other routine duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
• Must have 4 years’ experience working as a diesel mechanic.
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license.
• Have and maintain a clean driving record.
• Be willing to work overtime as required.
• Have and maintain the appropriate tools.
• Having a Class A CDL and ASE certifications are a plus.
