Director of Sales

We are an open-minded, growth focused company with offices in the US (SF Bay Area), Canada (Vancouver) and India (Hyderabad) locations. We are seeking an evangelical and technical salesperson to help us scale to $10M+ in revenues and build a sales team from ground up.
Your daily responsibilities
Source and close enterprise accounts through consultative, insight driven sales methodologies.
Develop a domestic and international sales plan and exceed sales targets
Set appropriate metrics for sales pipeline generation, accurate pipeline reporting and sales forecasts.
Manage forecast and present to board and management in quarterly Board Meetings
Hire and develop a strategic sales team to achieve growth and scale to $10M and beyond
Deliver compelling sales pitches, presentations and product demonstrations to a broad range of audiences, from C-level executives to individual contributors.
A real opportunity to become part of the executive team as we scale
5-7 years’ quota carrying sales experience selling a technical product to enterprises
Track record of exceeding quota in excess of $1M with an average ACV > $250k
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close with complex enterprise sales cycles through value based selling
Exceptional written and oral communicator with customer relationship skills
Self-starter, action oriented, results driven, attention to detail
Strong work ethic, values, integrity and trust
You have worked for startups and have experience in onboarding early stage customers
You are trained in formal sales methodologies (Sandler/TAS/Challenger/Solution Selling or similar)
Knowledge of selling to NoSQL market is a huge plus (example Apache Cassandra)
You get things done and can bring top sales talent with you as we grow the company
Ability to travel to close business
