Catheter Assembler/Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Catheter Assembler/Technician to build and test catheters for the robotic catheter system.
 

Key Responsibilities (“Do”):

• Build catheters for research and development studies with instruction by the catheter engineers
• Maintain the fixtures, tools, and supplies to build catheters
• Perform and document mechanical testing of catheters
• Contribute to the improvement of the catheter assembly process
• Understand and conform to the HORL Quality System
• Interact effectively with an engineering team

Other Expectations:

• Associates Degree in one of the following - Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in building and assembling of catheters or equivalent medical devices.
• Experience with assembly of parts under a microscope.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, rapid prototype design environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to others.

“Nice to Haves” 

• Familiarity with reading engineering drawings, Solid Works, or equivalent 3D CAD.
• Working knowledge of catheter manufacturing process and equipment.

 Results Expected (“Deliver”):

• Build and provide catheters for research and development studies
• Generate test reports of catheters.
• Recommend improvements to the catheter assembly process
