Back-Up Care Givers - Care Providers - Compassionate Companions

Oasis is a contracted service provider for Bright Horizons In-Home Provider Solutions. We are looking for a competent Caregiver to care for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner.

Back-Up Care is usually needed when a regular care options are not available - and care is needed on short notice for one or more days at at a time. Cases are assigned on a daily basis according to your availability as you provide it each week.

As you are given the option to be available according to your schedule, it is important to understand that cases are usually for most of the day and week during business hours. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and should have experience in caring for infants, toddlers, and young children - ready to perform a variety of care related tasks, informal tutoring, game playing, and generally enjoying yourself, and following parents directives.

Responsibilities

• Help infants & children complete age appropriate activities
• Assist infants, children & toddlers with personal care and hygiene
• Help toddlers, and young children with outside play activities as approved
• Prepare meals and bottles as needed for your charges, and clean up afterwards
• Prepare a detailed care sheet of your activities, meals, changes, and general information
• Be a pleasant and supportive caregiver prepared to care for a mildly ill child in some instances
• Represent Oasis Back-Up Care, Inc. as a Professional in your field following all policies and procedures.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Skills

• Proven experience as a caregiver for young infants, toddlers, and pre-school children
• Excellent knowledge of childhood development and age appropriate learning activities
• Able to professionally manage more than one child with a smile
• Willingness to communicate with in-home parents in a professional manner
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics
• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred CPR First Aid Certification
• CNA/Home Health Aid/Nannies/Au Pair are all welcome to apply

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $16.00 to $17.00 /hour
