What does a Child Development Specialist do on a day-to-day basis?

As a Child Development Specialist, you will provide one-to-one direct therapy in a natural environment (in home and/or out in the community) to children birth to 8 years of age. A Specialists work closely with each child to increase the acquisition of skills in all areas of development using play therapy.

Qualifications and Skills

What do you need to become a life-changing therapist?

• A.A. or Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• Ability to be creative, adapt to the environment and be patient.
• Reliable vehicle and be comfortable commuting within a 30-mile radius (paid mileage).
• Proof of auto insurance and driver’s license
• At minimum 3 days of prime-time availability (more is a plus!): M-F 2-7pm
• Bilingual, a plus.
