STARTING A NEW BUSINESS SOON    

Looking for available professional mechanics on a contract-basis, certification preferred, who will be willing to:

• perform an inspection on used cars/vehicles that clients are thinking about buying.  Identify problems, concerns, or provide clients with good news after your inspection.
• travel to where the clients and their cars/vehicles are located, whether at their home, office, etc.

The inspection need not be lengthy but needs to be long enough to provide clients with an honest and high-quality inspection to help educate them on their possible purchase.  As a mechanic, you will be called by me with interested clients.  You will then call the client to make an inspection appointment at a time convenient for you and the client.

Professional mechanics with experience needed; no weekend tinkerers please.  The advice given to clients about the used cars/vehicles needs to be accurate.

The geographical area to be serviced will be the greater DC area, but you can concentrate on one specific area if that is your preference.

Please understand that the mechanic will pay the cost of gasoline and time to arrive at the clients’ locations.  You might have to be available for service calls throughout the day so this position would be ideal for retired, unemployed, or part-time mechanics.  The number of service calls that you will receive cannot not be guaranteed as they depend on how good business is.

• if you are a certified mechanic or not, type of experience, and number of years worked.
• how many of the three geographical areas (Northern VA, MD, DC) will you be available to travel to.  I am based in Northern VA, but looking to cover the entire area.  If you only have interest in one area, that is OK.
• how much of the day you think you might be available for service calls
• how much you would charge me to make each one of these trips to a client.  I cannot pay you a higher rate for longer trips as the client will be paying a flat fee, regardless of where they are located or how far they are from you.

This is a company to be created in the near future.  The company will match potential used car/vehicle buyers to mechanics who can assess the condition of the used car/vehicle.
