Ott's Auto Body Shop LLC, a independent family-owned and operated auto repair center is looking for a full-time experienced Auto Body Technician
Some responsibilities include:
-Collision damage repair
-Repair and/or replace doors, panels, bumpers, fenders, hoods, trim, including sheet metal, aluminum and fiberglass bodies and other related structures. Ensure parts are replaced to manufacturer's specs.
-Teardown vehicle to assess damage, identify supplemental repairs
-Use of welding equipment to make repairs
-Use of body fillers to repair and reshape parts to normal condition
-Replace mechanical parts associated with accident damage
-Diagnostics -- scan vehicles, understand codes, determine needed repairs
Experience:
-Tools, equipment and auto body shop practices
-Safety and occupational hazards
-Application of auto body materials
-Understanding of frame specifications
-Frame and alignment equipment
-Welders - MIG, Squeeze type resistance welders, Brazing
-Five to ten years experience in an auto body/mechanical shop environment
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
-Five to ten years of experience
-High school diploma or GED required
-ASE and/or I-Car certification preferred. Willingness to become ASE or I-Car certified
-Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. We are a small shop so interaction with the customer is possible at any time. Must maintain a professional and positive attitude.
-Work independently, complete repairs per instructions, attain high quality standards
Other:
-Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
-Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
